Over the last decade, Charles has been shifting from finance to large business corporation with a view to forging today his own path, building and mentoring hands-on ventures at Ycor.

 

Prior to Ycor, Charles was for five years Chief of Staff to Maurice Lévy, Chairman & CEO of Publicis Groupe. Charles most notably contributed with regards to strategic topics: strategic recommendations to the Board regarding AI applied to marketing; Publicis Groupe strategic re-org following the acquisition of Sapient; the proposed merger with Omnicom. Over this period, he has been a key partner to promote Publicis leadership: the successful passing of the CEO baton for the third time only in 90-year Publicis history; Davos summits and helping voice strong convictions; the launch of the start-ups event Viva Technology that Maurice Lévy founded, and which has given France the place it rightfully deserves on the global tech map.

 

Prior to Publicis Groupe, Charles spent five years in London advising hedge funds and investment funds on their equity investment strategies across the European Oil & Gas sector. At Exane BNP Paribas, he was responsible for the coverage of oil “majors” such as BP or Royal Dutch Shell, having initially covered some media stocks. In this role, he also worked on IPOs and spin-offs, leveraging a previous M&A experience at Goldman Sachs.

 

Curious about the world upon us, Charles also spent nearly two years in China, serving as a macroeconomic advisor to the Embassy in Beijing and teaching French to Chinese students in Sichuan.
